PARENTS-TEACHERS ASSOCIATION ACTIVITIES FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2019-2020

 

The Managing Committee of the P.T.A. deserves kudos for proactively rendering yeoman’s service for the welfare of our pupils.

 

The Annual General Body Meeting of the P.T.A. was held on 13th July 2019 Our distinction holders of the SSC Exam (2018-19) were felicitated. The P.T.A. Chairman – Shri Vijay Bhike Awarded scholarships to the SSC students who scored 90% marks and above. The P.T.A sponsored prizes for the competitions held on the Children’s Day, provided drinking water to the pupils, teachers and invitees on the Annual Sports Day, installed ampli –speakers in all the class – rooms arranged a talk by Dr. Arundhati Sadekar on ‘Menstruation’ to the girl students, presented a memento ( a file – folder and a class – photograph) to each student of Std. X on the Farewell Day and arranged a talk by Dr. Peter Castelino, psychiatrist on ‘Emotional’ and Mental Health of Children’.

 

The Vice – Chairman of the P.T.A. – Shri Mahesh Swar was instrumental in procuring corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds which were utilised  for installing overhead projections in all the class – rooms and purchasing two photocopier machines for the Office.

PARENTS-TEACHERS ASSOCIATION ACTIVITIES

The Annual General Body Meeting of the Parents Teachers Association was held on 28th July 2018.  Shri. Govindraj Desai was the chief guest. The distinction holders of SSC Exam (March 2018) and the sport champions were felicitated. Dr. Chaya Neogi rendered a talk on” Healthy Diet and Lifestyle”.

As a part of the Platinum Jubilee celebration of the School, the PTA organised a talk on “Discovering new stars & galaxies, which was rendered by Dr. Vithal Tilvi.

PTA organised various coaching classes like judo, chess and calligraphy for the students.

PTA also organised cooking competition for boys on Children’s Day.

As a part of the platinum Jubilee celebration of G.S.Amonkar Vidya Mandir Mapusa , the School PTA organised a talk on “ Discovering new stars and Galaxies.” The talk was rendered by Dr. Vithal Tilvi, an eminent scientist, astronomer and an astrophysicist who is presently a research visitor at Inter University Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics ,Pune .Students of Standard eighth ,ninth and tenth attended the programme .Mrs.Salita R.Naik a science teacher gave the welcome speech and Master Amey Nadkarni the school boy school leader offered a potted plant to the guest speaker, Dr. Udaysingh Rane the School PTA member introduced the guest speaker and offered a memento on behalf of the PTA .The Students showed lot of interest in astronomy and were very inspired by Dr. Tilvi’s research work.The programme ended with a vote of thanks given by Miss Prithaa Nabar the girl school leader.
