Founders day was celebrated in G.S. Amonkar Vidya Mandir Mapusa on 15 December 2023. On this occasion V. G. Mahatme multipurpose hall was inaugurated at the hands of the dignitaries. The dignitaries present on the dais were Adv. Sanjay Usgaokar Chairman of the school managing committee, trustees shree Suharsh Usgaokar, Sanjay Naik, Ajay Sardessai, Dr. Gurudas Natekar, Head mistress Mrs. Pooja Dalvi, Assistant Headmistress Mrs Zena Viegas, PTA president Shri. Vaman khorjuvekar, Avinash Belekar and G. S. Amonkar Distinguished Alumnus Awardee shree Girish Keni. The programme began with a cultural programme by the students thereafter the traditional lamp was lit at the hands of the dignitaries. G.S. Amonkar Distinguished Alumnus Awardee was introduced by trustee Shree Suharsh Usgaokar. G.S. Amonkar Distinguished Alumnus Award was presented to Girish Keni by Dr. Gurudas Natekar . Shree Girish Keni in his speech appreciated the school management and the staff for their hard work and efforts. He expressed his future plans towards improvement of the school infrastructure and also expressed his attachment for his alma mater. Thereafter the school manuscript magazine was released. Mr. Ajay Kothawale Art teacher was felicitated for his outstanding achievement in art. Dr. Amita Ramesh Humraskar was felicitated for achievement of Ph.D in Hindi. Outstanding Students Miss. Saisha Divkar, Seva Parab, Priyanka Porob, Dhanashri Chodankar and Samruddhi Chodankar were felicitated. Vote of thanks was proposed by assistant head mistress Mrs Zena Viegas. Programme was compered by Mrs Poonam Burye, Roshan Shet and Mohini Halarnkar.
