Class Social of Standard VI

The Class Social of Standard VI was held at G.S Amonkar Vidya Mandir Mapusa on 5th October 2024 with great enthusiasm. Miss Aarvi Shetgaonkar welcomed the Chief Guest for the evening, Dr. Ramita Gurav, HOD of the Hindi department at St. Xavier`s College Mapusa and Ex-student of G.S Amonkar Vidya Mandir with a potted plant and a greeting card. The programme began at 3.30 p.m and ended at 7.30 p.m in the evening.The dignitaries present on the dias were the Headmistress Smt. Pooja Dalvi, the Chairman of the school managing committee Adv. Shri Sanjay Usgaonkar, Manager of the school managing committee Shri Mohan Kaul and the visiting trustee Shri Avinash Belekar. The audience was welcomed by Miss Saanvi Gadekar. The meritorious students were given prizes at the hands of the chief guest. Speeches were given by the Chief Guest Dr. Ramita Gurav, Chairman Adv. Shri Sanjay Usgaonkar and teacher Smt. Poonam Naik.
Teacher Poonam Naik appealed to the parents to give 15 minutes talk time everyday to their children to nurture the emotional health of the child. The students enthusiastically welcomed the gathering with an Indian Classical Dance. It was followed by various skits and a Fashion show which focused on different Indian states traditions and culture. The vibrant and energetic atmosphere created by the Dance groups could be felt throughout the programme. The students also presented great pieces of music as they sang songs in various Indian Languages and presented Tabla Sahavadan. The Chief Guest in her Speech shared her school days experiences with parents and requested them to give quality time to their children. She requested the parents to be more understanding and tolerant towards their children. She also spoke on the various problems they may face as parents and suggested measures to tackle them. The programme was widely appreciated by one and all. The Vote of thanks was delivered by Mast Vyom Pednekar. The programme was hosted by Miss Aliya Natekar, Master Ayush Belekar, Miss Kenisha Shirodkar and Master Aarush Dhamaskar, Master Ayush Narvekar and Mast Aarav Narvekar.
