National Science Day was celebrated in New Goa’s G.S.Amonkar Vidya Mandir -Mapusa on 28th February. The Chief Guest was Mrs. Manjula Shetgaonkar, ex teacher of the school. The Chief guest was welcomed with a potted plant by Miss. Swara Kerkar. The portrait of Sir C.V. Raman was garlanded at the hands of the Chief Guest, Headmistress Mrs. Pooja Dalvi and Assistant Headmistress Mrs. Zena Viegas. The Chief Guest spoke about the importance of the day. A speech was also given by Miss. Preet Colwalkar. The students presented skits and songs. A Science quiz competition was organized. The winners were given prizes at the hands of the dignitaries. The programme was compered by Miss. Siddhi Palekar.
